About

I am an assistant professor in Physics and Astronomy at Wheaton College in the Chicago area. After receiving my PhD in Astrophysics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, I studied theology at Covenant Theological Seminary in Saint Louis, MO. My current research focuses on the so-called ‘electron capture supernovae‘ and their progenitor stars, both in single and in binary systems. However, most of my time is spent in the classroom, teaching across all undergraduate levels in both physics and astronomy. I also regularly present on the relationship between the Christian faith and science.
